Thanks for checking out Macdonald Edinburgh Electrical (MEE) on the web.  My name’s David Macdonald, the person behind the company. I planned to start my own electrical business for many years and in 2014 that plan became reality.

My career in the electrical trade got going after the decision to head to college and get a Higher National Certificate in electrical engineering. With the theory in the bag,  I shortly started with a small local electrical company which gave me both practical hands-on and theoretical application of current electrical requirements form BS7671 (electrical safety requirements), as well as understanding the latest in building standards. 

Setting and then realising your goals are important. For MEE it will be about encouraging the next generation of electricians. We plan to take on an apprentice, showing them the ropes, whilst getting them a thorough grounding in theory through college. Helping young people into work and starting to achieve their own goals is a core part of the mission for Macd

MEE is a professional company dedicated to the highest standards of service and safety in every aspect of our trade, a newly established electrical business that can be trusted to cater for all your electrical needs. All staff are fully qualified 18th edition electricians that can offer 24hr cover.

MEE is growing and looking into opportunities with renewable energy products and services. Renewable energy is becoming more and more important to reduce the carbon footprint that we are making on our planet.
